Lions’ Gift of Sight - Collection of Old Eyeglasses Drive
A joint initiative with the Lions Club Singapore, Pharmaplus volunteers as a collection centre for old, usable eyeglasses, where they will then be delivered to regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers (LERCs). LERC volunteers clean, sort by prescription strength and package the glasses. Most of the recycled glasses are distributed to the underprivileged in developing countries where they will have a significant impact.
Bright Smiles Bright Futures Programme
Bring down unused NEW toothbrushes, toothpaste and toothbrush head covers to support
Caring for Cambodia’s “Bright Smiles Bright Futures” program. Pharmaplus is pleased to participate by being a collection centre for new toothbrushes and toothpaste for CFC. The “Bright Smiles Bright Futures” program encourages good dental hygiene for CFC’s students by requiring them to brush their teeth after their school meal, and by educating them about good dental hygiene.

Used Baby Bottles Recycling Drive
From July to December 2007, we organized our “B.free from Bisphenol-A” Charity-and-Recycling drive in hopes of encouraging the public to stop using their existing polycarbonate baby bottles and switching to using Bisphenol-A free bottles. Customers brought in their existing bottles to enjoy a special price for their purchase of the BPA-free B.free bottles in Pharmaplus. For every B.free (twin pack) sold in Pharmaplus from July to December 2007, $1.00 was donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Thereafter, the old bottles were sent for recycling.
